25 plus years, Financial Services experience having worked for blue chip companies including NatWest, RBS Asset Management, Aberdeen Asset Managers and M&G Prudential.
Commencing his Financial Services career in 1993, at NatWest Financial and Investment Services, within the Trust, Tax and Investment Department, followed by spells working for NatWest Stockbrokers and NatWest Investments, before being appointed as the youngest Private Banking Manager for NatWest Private Banking, qualifying as a Financial Advisor and later as Regional Trust Support Manager, providing Estate Planning and Inheritance Tax advice to NatWest Private Banking, RBS Private Banking and Drummonds Private Bank Clients.
After 12 years at NatWest, Neil joined RBS Asset Managers supporting his front office colleagues manage c$15bn USD institutional client monies, invested in Offshore Hedge Fund and Private Equity structures. Roles and responsibilities included undertaking Operational Due Diligence on target funds prior to investment and Custody Operations functions including liquidity management and oversight.
Aberdeen Asset Managers acquired RBS Asset Management in late 2010. Neil continued his career successfully at Aberdeen, managing the Alternative Asset, Custody Operations team, before joining the Service Provider Oversight Team as Service Provider Oversight Manager, responsible for key outsourced service provider relationships. Other duties included supporting the effective running of multiple offshore companies by providing guidance and recommendations to the board of directors ensuring adherence to local regulations.
After 11 years at RBS Asset Managers and Aberdeen Asset Managers, Neil joined M&G Prudential as Head of Investment Services, for Prudential Portfolio Management Group, supporting his front office colleagues manage c£170bn of in-house assets, by managing the middle office operation functions and relationships with outsourced service providers including in-house back office administration teams at M&G and the Custody Operations relationship with HSBC.
In late 2018, Neil co-founded Will Instructions Ltd with wife Christina and long-term colleague Keith Flashman, providing Estate Planning services to clients.
